Our little island, Alameda, is located next to the city of Oakland and it is approximagtely 12 miles across the Bay Bridge to the city of San Francisco. The climate is comfortable, never too cold in the winter nor too hot in the summer. It has a population of approximately 75000 in an area of 12.2 square miles.
